  As a single professional on a high salary of 92k, I was appalled to find they expected me to have a guarantor because I was due to change jobs in the near future (to a higher paid position) and refused to give them my new employer as a reference. It made no sense whatsoever to ask an employer with whom has no history with me to act as a reference, my current employer confirmed a strong period of employment at an overly average salary and yet this was not enough. The funny thing is, I previously passed their checks in the 12 months prior to this application, so charging me again for the same checks with the same details was even more disgraceful. Not only are these people incompetent, they also behave like gangsters charging £150 for a half hours work at most? I will personally never use an agent who relies on legalforlandlords as their reference company. Absolutely disgusting and incompetent service. Avoid.
